Tiwary said, "The four-wheeler was emptied of its occupants, including the driver, before the 58-wagon train hit it. The collision could have been devastating had the engine crew of the goods train not followed the advisory issued by the railway administration to maintain 30kmph speed on the stretch owing to fog."
The inspector in-charge of the RPF (Garhwa road railway junction post), Banarasi Yadav, said, "The four-wheeler, which was crossing the tracks in an unauthorised manner, has been seized. A case was lodged against the owner /driver of the four-wheeler under sections 153 (putting lives of the railway personnel and passengers in danger) and 174-B (causing disruption to railway traffic deliberately) of the Indian Railways Act."
Inspector Yadav said, "We had to press an earth mover into service to remove the four-wheeler, which had got entwined with the engine."
